Our first Post!

Well, this is our first post from Cottage Couture Designs, for the well dressed home! Our hope is that we will bring you current, fresh ideas to update your home with a little "couture for your cottage". We are both interior decorators who love the little details that truly transform a house into a home. We believe that it does not have to break your bank to do that, and we would love to help you add a little "bling" to dress up your home or to get you those statement pieces to build your rooms around.

We will write in another post more about our new business, but we wanted you to know first about our upcoming event! We are very excited to be at Marburger Farm this year in Round Top, TX for Antiques Week! There are over 450 dealers at this venue and all bring the very best they have to offer for your antiquing pleasure! We have some fabulous finds for you and would love to see you there! We have been scouring the area's estate sales and shows, as well as buying some beautiful things from containers that have come from England and France.

We have English oak gateleg tables with beautiful patinas, trestle tables that would be great behind a sofa, or a unique kitchen table, or as a desk for your office. We have beautiful English white ironstone china, Masons plates and pitchers, Staffordshire & Majolica. We found a pair of gorgeous high back, mutton-bone
country french chairs with old nail-head trim. Fabulous old chests of drawers, gilded Italian florentine pieces & mirrors, and some good old funky finds are also included in our offerings.

We have some fine original art, as well as good vintage art, including hand colored lithographs, old english prints, and paintings, all with gorgeous old frames.
If you are planning for spring be sure to pick up one of our unique garden statuary, old wicker chairs or ornamental pieces for your garden.

Marburger starts on Tuesday, March 31 for early buying, and ends Saturday, April 4.
